Introduction to Event Data Recorders (Black Boxes)

This course will empower participants to leverage event data recorder information from motor cars and sports utility vehicles, and covers topics including:
• History of Event Data Recorders
• Role of Event Data Recorders in Traffic Crash Investigation
• Retrieving data from the event data recorders using the Direct Link to Cable Method.
• Retrieving data from the event data recorders using the Direct to Module Method
• Knowledge of the various Crash Data Retrieval Kits available and how to utilize same.
• Basic Analysis of Event Data Recorder data retrieved.
