Faculty of Shipping and Logistics

This faculty provides salient training in Logistics, which is an integral component of every organization but particularly so in production, distribution and trade. Effective logistics help save money and time for organizations. The more aware people are about this reality, the more job opportunities arise in this field. Beyond the planning and forecasting, product assembly, storage and management of the supply chain, are international trade, security and coordination of distribution channels. All these aspects (on land, on sea and in the air) work together as a whole to support domestic and international businesses. The fast-paced industries of immigration, shipping, security and port management are global field that offer tremendous employment opportunities. Therefore, trained logisticians are needed.

The undergraduate programmes in this Faculty are designed to prepare candidates to gain entry level and middle level employment in these sectors. They also seek to develop in candidates, the knowledge, skills and flexibility to participate in the global market place.

Bachelor of Science in Custom Processes Freight Forwarding and Immigration Minimum of five (5) CSEC/GCE O’ Level subjects or international equivalent including Mathematics and English Language. 4 years
Bachelor of Science in Cruise Shipping and Marine Tourism Minimum of five (5) CSEC/GCE O’ Level subjects or international equivalent including Mathematics and English Language. 4 years
